One last thing, if you ever figure out how to use Clothing Mark, I'd be curious of what that does exactly...
It created some sort marking on the cutting edge. That way, workes in the factory know the size of shoes or clothes of the batch being producted. It is not a common feature for you folks but more intended designed for the factory use where they mass production cloths or shoes or other things. I guess it is better way to do it than making some change on the original graphics.

Got it?

Wouldn't it be more logical to call it "number of passes"?

If you need help relabeling buttons and menu es to make more sense in english, I could help. I just want to help make the software better and more understandable using common English terms for buttons and menu items.

On the idea of adding wording that is easier to read in English...(anything to help this along, since it's an amazing piece of hardware)

"Cutting in Guide Line" and "Cutting out Guide Line" should read "Lead in Guide Line" and "Lead out Guide Line"

In the same window, "confirm" has a typo.

One other, when it's processing it should read "Please wait" instead of "please waiting"

I too am very interested in 3d capabilities. I have a small business that specializes in model ship building. I would like to be able to engrave 3d name plates for model ship builders. Model ship builders always want a small sign with the name of their model ship, the date of the ship that the model represents, their name, and the date they built the model. I want to go beyond plain engraving of such a sign and include 3d graphics so that the sign has depth and looks more professionally done that what most companies can provide.

I would also like to provide a service to make 3d cuttings from drawings shown on gantryco.com . I don't mind spending time to set power for 256 shades of grey because in the end, what I could create would pay for my time in terms of sales.

Marco, is there any way you can get the programmer to add this feature? I might even be willing to pay something to get it added.

Thanks,

Bob

Hi bob
ok you never get a real 3D just a sub 3d more like a relief. I do it all the time with some ikone's for churches see picture.
if you got a good picture convert it to greyscale save it with 638dpi then import it in lasercad, dithere it with about 0.015- 0.018
set the scan gap to 0.04 and the speed to around 160mm/s, the power to about 10%.depending on the wood you are using. the wood in the picture is cherry wood.
maybe this helps

yes. doing real power level adjustments based on greyscale data would be awesome. you can fake it to a point with good dithering, but it's nothing like having real control

hi bob
just look at the picture what they are using they are heavily prepared not like mine where I take a regular 600dpi picture
if I could take one of this picture I would have the same result.
greetings
walt

Hi here is a short run picture of this usually I do two or three runs. this all depends how the picture is prepared.
A good system what I use is to convert to grey then adjust contrast that the picture looks like a bit washed out then unsharpen
save as BMP with 638dpi then import in lasercad there I dithere with 0.015 and the scan gap with 0.04. the first run at around 150 mm speed and 11% power and the second run with 10.5% power same speed
greetings

Marco is the version of LaserCAD with the number of passes available to mere mortals yet?

Thanks
