I have a 90W Reci tube Chinese machine that I just got in a few weeks ago. Hasnt been used very much, less than 10 hours so far..but Ive been cutting 3mm ply today. Got through a few orders and all of a sudden it would no longer cut through at the settings I had been using all day. speed 28 / Power was 80/65 ,and the meter around 28ma .
all I did was change wood ,been cutting the same patterns most of the morning.
Now I cant even cut through at 5 speed and 100% power. doesnt make sense why the sudden change without doing anything...but checked the mirrors anyway still good. meters still reading around 28ma ...any ideas?

Re: sudden loss of cutting power on 90W Reci
Is the laser tube "S" series? Check the manufacturer date. If it is some where less than 9 months old but older than 2 month, chance is that the tube is defective. It is because Reci got production problem since a year ago when they launched the "S" series
Simple test: put a piece of wood in front of the first mirror and fire the laser up with 28mA. If there is a good burning mark, chance is a bad mirror or lens. If it doesn't burn, you know what I mean
