Nadda... No power, no bells, no whistles SOLVED
Completed wiring in X7 from leetro 6525. Checked wiring diagram found here but some leftover wires utilized on 6525 but not on X7:
1.X Origin
2.Y Origin
3.a ground wire
4. hot wire.
Installed display, connected to controller. Turned power on...nadda.
Does anyone have any idea what's missing??

Does your display lightup?
If no, check your power! AND MOST IMPORTANT: its polarity.. If you where mistaken i hope you didn't blew anything
Do you have a multimeter or something alike?

Question - two ports on the back of the lcd display from the controller - does it matter which one - both are the same connection. No instructions for the x7 just the 608. That could be my problem but wanted to know if anyone else knew for sure.

Kees or Marco - No power to panel or controller. Checked with multimeter - no power to controller - which comes directly from converter? Please see attached picture of conversion. Note on the x7 laser1 pin array I do NOT have a connection for the 5V or WP. Does this connection come directly from the PSU (not sure that is what it is called - a picture of its pin array is also included in the single pic.

Ok,
The +5V at the laser1-connector is an output from the controller. Some laserpowersupplies need that to supply the logic (think of the optocouplers inside..) It can be you don't need that. Same as the WP (Waterprotect) In some cases the Waterflowsensor is directly connected to the HV-laserpowersupply. That is safe enough, but your controller doesn't notice anything of a problem with the waterflow and shall continue to work.. (for that reason I connected the Waterflowsensor to the controller instead of the HVsupply)
Then your +24V supply.. If you don't measure 24V volts on the small 2-pole powerconnector of your controller, check the 24V comming from your switched-powersupply. If you don't measure 24V there and the mains is on, then your powersupply needs to be changed. If you do measure 24V there, your wiring of contacts are defective..
The other +24V connectors on the controller are outputs to supply the limitsensors (proximity-sensors can work fine with 24V)
One thing i see is probably a "Open-cabinet-switch" (somewhere at the bottom) can it be all power is taken off when you open the cabinet? (so you have to fool that switch or bypass it?)

We have light - power! Some buttons working some not - will report back shortly.
I can only believe that it was the door switch - although I taped the door switch during power up, it may have been insufficient. When I read your comment on the door switch, I reinstalled the door...and voila - there was light.
How to change menu to english is next step

Now on to the software issues.
Item 1) Able to connect usb with small webbook laptop(WIN7) but not with laptop win8. Does not recognize driver. The small laptop screen does not show the entire interface from Laser app.
Item 2) Screen on display all in Chinese. Read the manual to change language - Item 11 in the menu list. Go to the menu liston the dsp...only 10 items in the menu list. Tried every menu item but none which hinted to language that I could see:(

You need to get the latest LaserCad V7.57 or above to be able to use Win7 or Win8 through USB connection. Otherwise, you have to use the Ethernet (RJ45) cable for communication. We included a straight through cable for your order
To switch to English, press "Menu" and select item #9. Then you can change it to English manual

Re: Nadda... No power, no bells, no whistles
Great - now have an english menu. One step at a time for what appears to be a lengthy journey.
Upgraded to the latest version of lasercad 7.57
Win8 computer still cannot connect via usb...no luck with rj45 Ethernet connection either. Followed instructions for network connection in 608 manual - no luck in direct connection using these instructions from laptop. Win7 netbook does connect but screen too small to encompass software interface.
At this time would prefer to use USB connection anyway. Went to devise manager and there is no driver for the AWC708 usb connection. I did install usb driver from the lasercad software but apparently it does not work. Going on three weeks since I received board - downtime is killing me and I haven't even started to deal with new software yet!! PLease help and then direct me to setup instructions for the software(proper settings, corel draw etc)

Re: Nadda... No power, no bells, no whistles
Although i use an AWC608 and have a WinXP laptop connected to it, i seldom use the laptop.. i create my UD5 files on my Windows 7 homecomputer, comfortly from my big chair, and place the files on a stick.. In my workshop, i load the UD5-file from the stick directly into the controller and press run.. There is no attached computer involved.. Think this is the same for X7.
The only thing i use the laptop for is alter settings in the controller but that is normaly a once operation.. Maybe you are able to set the settings right with the laptop?
Maybe this can work for you in the meanwhile..
Don't know if you need a driver for the X7.. I don't have a driver installed and it works fine for me..

Re: Nadda... No power, no bells, no whistles
Thanks Kees - I normally do the same thing with all my files - usb to lcd.
I was under the impression however that you needed to do some set up with a laptop to format the table settings etc. I can connect on the netbook but cannot capture the whole screen interface on the small screen and no way to re size. So at some point I need to connect the large laptop...
I will give the netbook a go and see if all the menu functions are available - if so it should work.
Thanks again for your help.
