DSP range limit slipping problem

Post by nephertiti »

Hi Marco,

Setting my new build butI have a realy big problem.

I use yaskawa servo 750watt but this problem continues when I remove all pin connections to DSP too.

X range: 2000 mm
Y range: 4000 mm

When I press key move button (right or left ) X goes out of my range limit.

As you can see on picture, my limit 2 and 4 meter but both out of limit when I press key move.

And when I press again its moves back to limit position.

Please I need help for fix this problem.

Again It happens when all pins out too. ( I tried 2 DSP both same problem)

What happen if you set the max speed to 1000 instead?
I have no experience on Servo so I can't really give an input.
What was the micro-step on the motor driver?
Were you able to make some cut rather than having issue with the arrow key?
What about the "um", how did you get it?

Hi Marco,

I used Yaskawa analog position servo driver . So it works with pulses and directions. There is no microswitch just "virtual gear"

It works like microswitch. So we gave um/pulse from controller and forward x axis like 10mm and if its not 10mm we change virtual gears.

But I think problem is acceleration I can give much high acceleration then stepper. So I dont think controller handle much acceleration. Its why cant stop and slips out of range.

By the way its not about servo. I removed all pins from controller and tried again ( I tried 2 DSP both same result)

I think acceleration is problem with servos for your controller. When I gave high speed servo accelerate suddenly and brakes realy hard. So looks like there is no acceleration. there is no ramp on speed. when I give lower acceleration like 10000 servos move too much for engrave ( 30cm move for 10cm width engrave area)

I think there is acceleration problem with high powered servos.
