pattern inserted in a object in corel comes out as square in

Post by waltfl »

Hi all
now I got a problem or maybe probably is that if I insert a pattern in a object lets say the roof tile pattern in a house roof in CorelDraw x5 and send it then to lasercad the pattern shows up as square not in the form the roof is.
maybe marco can ask the programmer why tis is and how to fix it.

Have you just simply converted it over to a DXF and then loaded it? I've had 0 problems with DXF's so long as they are AutoCad made or Corel converted...though loading CDR's and AI's have been almost always an issue.

Oh I saw this problem show up elsewhere in the forum, it was how you removed the pattern from the 'front' shape that was the solution. I believe if you went the longhand route...I can't recall exactly what it was, but if you did "minus front/back" method it would remove the pattern properly and this error wouldn't show up.

Sorry, I use Illustrator primarily so I don't know Corel as well.

hi axeman
no this does not solve the problem I try all of this but in the moment where the file gets to lasercad it changes it most be something with the lasercad program, probably only with the new one because I can not remember to having this problem in the past, but I did not use this for a long time. maybe marco can look in to it

You need to convert the patten square to "bitmap" and it will show exact on LaserCad. Currently it is a layout but not an object
But it is not perfect yet as the outline border still seem. Well, I think it is all about the layer issue on CorelDraw. Since I'm not an expert and I know a little. I let you to figure it out

Hi marco
thanks for your afford but the problem with the conversion to bitmap is that the laser then will engrave it and not cut it like the vector and takes a long time. and it also uses the square border to engrave
there is only one layer in corel.
OK maybe somebody else di find a way.
