Re: Converting K40IV machine
That was part of your original power for the laser tube. Don't need it with standard laser power supplies (like the ones from LightObject and other sources). Take it out and forget it.TeacDance wrote:anybody know that resistor?TeacDance wrote:Couple pictures of my conversion... do i have to use that big resistor look picture 1567 right side??? now it's not use but it's working

Re: Converting K40IV machine
Means you are too close to the edge of your useable work area for the speed you are wanting to engrave. To engrave, it takes extra space before and after the x sweep to get up to speed. Move your origin so you have more room to left and right of engraved area.TeacDance wrote:What meaning when laser display say " Not enough extend space please esc"
Also, you can increase your acceleration speed. The faster the acceleration, the less room necessary to get up to speed. Acceleration speed should be in the 8000 mm/s/s range. If you are already there, move your origin so there is room to left and right of engraved area.

Re: Converting K40IV machine
I'm so glad to see that the DSP is working. Great job!
May I ask you a favor. Since so many folks bought this D40 machine and having trouble with it's own software. Many of those folks want to upgrade by installing my DSP. Would you you post the parameters setting here like the pulse, steps, bed size... I'm sure the motor is identical as this D40 was made by ShenHui in China. As matter of fact, I'm testing a card with the D40 X,Y motor rack.
Thank you
Marco
