5740 amp meter

5740 amp meter
I have a sollar array that is producing about 65 to 75 amps so i bought a 5740 amp meter i followed the instructions hooked for the Case 3 dia. entered each password made sure that each Set point read the way the instructions say they should. The meter reads 499.9 to500.0 this iis not the reading I should be getting so I double checked the instructions going thru each step still get same reading HELP PLEASE

What is specification of the shunt you have? 100A 75mV may be?? Or something else? The setpoint has nothing to do with the reading. It's for the alarm output.

The shunt is a 100 amp 75 mil.

First of all, select Signal type to '3' using password 0089
Try the following setting (display only):
PvL: 0
PvH: 100
dot: 1
Filt: 0
The max display it will show is "100.0"A

The max display it will show is "100.0"A

Then do the other with 0036.

Thank you Marco IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one more question I need to mount the shunt can I drill a 1/8 hole in the center of it without ruining the integrity of it ?

You can drill the hole on the fixture that holds on the shunt. The size of that pieces of metal (shunt) is precised calculated so don't do any change on it.

why does this 5740 blink? and how do I fix it

I'm not sure what you mean of blinking on the 5740. Can you video it please
