CNC/ CO2 Laser parameters/proximity

Post by larrymo »

I have a HX-1290se laser with a leetro controller, I am replacing it with a DSP controller all it going well but i do have a problem, the table i have is 1200x900mm and the controller will not accept the parameters 1200x900 it keeps defaulting back to 900x600mm. this makes setting the proximity switches impossible and getting lots of chatter. Help me please

Which DSP card you have? White or Blue panel?
I belive that our DSP don't have a limitation unless otherwise.

Questions:
1) Did it show any error when you trying to change the paramters?
2) Did it ask for password?

Or, it let you change the parameters but unable to save the settings?

I need to collect more info and I'll discuss with the tech tonight. Or, shoot me some pictues, seeing is better

Yes it did require a password ph123 the software did save the parameters, but the table did'nt change.

You means the software did show correct table setting but the machine still limited to 900mm?
A little confuse here.

Try something smaller than 900mm like 600mm see if it work . Then try 1000mm and bigger, let's find out what is working and what is not. Basically, I want to find out whether is it a software problem or hardware problem.

Ok i have change the table size to 600x600 and 300x600 with no change, I changed some of the speeds, and those worked. I checked the limits those are working ok

Tech say, you need to setup the 'pulse' or the stepping of the motor from the paramete setting section. The unit is "um". Can you send picture of your setting using "Print Screen".

Chatter is the stepping mottor setting issue. You need to setup proper stepping rate to avoid it. It's nothing to do with the limit issue. Plus, our DSP don't have limitation per engineer. Did you hook up any limit switch to the DSP card in the mean time beside home switch? Did you connect any limit switch to block the machine from passing 900mm x 600mm ?

What do you mean "no change" Pleasae be more specific as I have to 'guess' what you're trying to say. Did it do ok on 600x600 and 300x600 or what? Did software show the setting properly or the machine bounced back to 900x600?? Please, tell more detail. It's hard to understand by just one sentence a time.
