I have a Morn 3050D which uses the DSP card for its control. I am using Corel Draw 12 as my driving program and have primarily operated it as a cutter using the Laser Cut settings.
Recently I've tried to output bitmaps using the Laser Scan mode and have uncovered a problem. At speed setting of 30mm/s and faster the head scans smoothly at the desired speed. Below 30mm/s the head speed varies between two rates. During white spaces in the bitmap the head speed is as set in the Laser Scan dialog. However, during black spaces the head speed increases to 30mm/s. Effectively, etching is limited to a minimum speed of 30mm/s.
I've verified this with a scope looking at pin 5 (PWM+) of the X drive output.
Any assistance in how to overcome this problem will be appreciated.

Did you buy this laser from Lightobject.com or get it elsewhere?
If you bought it elsewhere then you might have to contact the seller for the answer.
I don't think Marco will be bothered with someone who hasn't bought the laserfrom him as he is a very busy person and wouldn't have to time for a reply.
Let us know please. I don't think Marco sells the Morn lasers here but I may be wrong. ( I haven't seen one for the 3 1/2 years I have been buying from him)
Rich.
