difference in contoller images

Post by irfanulla »

Today I got my controller board in India - thru a friend in the US, upon comparing with images I noticed that the board I have received missed a few IC's, my version of the board (as printed ) is 1.6,

the missing ic's are 25, 26, 15, 31, 32, 29 snf vr0, vr1

is this normal??? also can I use rotary with this board with the ic's not present ????

also on the power terminal 12V+ and 12v- is mentioned - is the the 9v to 24 v dc connection I can give to the board??

Regards

Irfan

Irfan,

The current version no longer needs the 12v. Just give 24v to the power in and you will be fine.

I suspect the "missing" chips are in part related to the power requirements and to general simplification and refinement of the product.

Finally I think the missing parts relate to

1. disabled Z limit switch
2. Disabled U and Z axis??
3. disabled L2???

this is from reading other threads

I hope the firmware is full version - that it works if I install the additional IC's

Can I not expect some decent answer.
please

Hi irfanulla!

Marco is still in China with very limited access to the web/email. If you are using ver 1.2 of the blue board, then I believe your assessment of the missing chips is correct. I think all can be corrected with the addition of the chips discussed elsewhere in the forum. If you are not sure what to add and where, I have copies of the documents that we posted. Let me know.

I suspect Marco will be back in the next week or so.

Tim I found out from the other thread and Marco has mentioned that he will help me - hope Marco recovers fast.
