dsp not recognising the limit switches on first start up.

I just turned on the dsp for the first time..the system resetting message appears on the display. Both motors energize and both gantries start moving to the hone position. The dsp will not recognize the limit switches..I am using the two standard limit switches supplied with the x/y stage kit and have wired them po er your diagram.do I need to go into the software and configure the dsp to accept these type of limit switches? Other suggestions?

Maybe you switched X+ and X- so the limitswitch is activated but the controller looks to the other side..
Simple method to test this is make a panel with a few pushbuttons, set the speed very low and push the buttons till you notice a reaction..
