Two laser machines controlled by one PC

Post by berrym »

Hello,

I am using a 1200x900 (130Watt)machine, and a 600x400 (60Watt) machine. Both machines are build with LO stages, controllers and electronics.
I have connected them both via ethernet connection.
Is there a way to have two instances of Lasercad running on one PC, each with their own configurations, so I dont have to change between configurations to control each machine?
If there is an even better sollution please let me know. Any help is very welcome.

Kind regards,
Berry

I tried it by installing two versions in both their own map.
So now i have running 7.52 and 7.57 at the same time with both their own settings.. seems to work well..
Maybe it also works fine when you install the same version in two different maps... Bur then you have to rename the shortcut on the desktop else it will be quite confusing..

Hi Kees,

Thank you for responding.
Allready tried that, but when I double click the older version it directly goes to the open window of the newer version...
Tried also the other way around. clicking newer version directly goes toe the open window of the older version.
Two same versions in different folders does not work also.

BTW I am using Windows 8.1

Kind regards,

I'm working with windows 7, and for me it worked perfect. Even the settings like which com-port the laser is on..
No problems at all..
Maybe you to check where your files are and where the shortcuts lead to...
