Beyond size continue

Post by the_dude »

Hey Everyone,
I am trying to cut my first files out a small test of 75mm( work area of 600x900 for the machine) and the dsp keeps saying beyond size continue?
I have searched here pretty well, read the manual as well as checked my manufacturer parameters and user parameters to make sure everything is set right for the motors.

If I hit test on the dsp, or run box or clip box in laser cad I still get a message saying beyond size.

What am I missing?

Cheers and thanks for the help :)

Did you set the size in the Manufacturer Settings tab yet? And then you need to download to the controller.

Before you do anything, tell it to READ first.

I changed my speed and power to 10 each and shrank my bow down to 10 mm , still beyond size?

As i said even hitting test on the DSP gives a "beyond size !" warning.

what could it be that fundamentally is making everything beyond scale?
Should I screen shots of my parameters?

Cheers

Machine zero, Page zero and Position relatives must match your home location
If it is Top Left (Up left), set all those to Top Left
Your setting didn't match at all

So my next question is about getting the laser to fire.

When I press the laser button on the DSP controller the laser does not fire.
When I run a program the laser does not fire.
But when I press the red test button on the power supply box it fires. I checked my wires and everything looks okay.
I also checked to make sure my water protect circuit is unchecked in my options so that isn't stopping it.

Thought? things additionally I should check? Screen shots that would help diagnose the issue?
Cheers

I am thinking that you didn't ground the "WP" - the water protection.
That's why it won't fire

Next question, after say 10 hours of being on as i have been trouble shooting this project my red light laser has died, voltage is going to it, I checked the power supply and wire connections.
Is that normal? do they have a life expectancy?
