X-Axis reversed Text mirrored

Post by Don_Karlos »

Hi,
I have the AWC608 on a new Lasersystem and everything is working as it should when I control the XY unit with the control Panel. Left is left and right is right. My Limit Switches are in upper left Corner and on reset the Head is moving there. When I started testing I wrote some Text in LaserCad and the Laser is cutting it mirrored. So left is right and right is left. How can I reverse the X-Axis? I can't find the Parameter by myself :-(
Thanks for your Support in advance

You can flip it in LaserCad - there are two symbols up near (not at) the top right for L-R and U-D flipping.

Ok,
I see! Thanks for the advice. I think this function is for drawing purposes. What I want to do is to tell the DSP to actually cut what is seen on the screen. Interestingly the Y-Axis is working in the right orientation. Text is upright. There must be a way to reverse an Axis without giving up the home position in the upper left corner.

Make sure "Page zero" and "Machine zero" is set to Upper Left, to match your physical homing position
Also, check the "Position Relatives" (located on the right side menu bar) and make sure it is set to "Upper Left"
After new setting, MAKE SURE to press "Reset" on the LCD to let the system to take the new setting
