Using Probotix for laser cutter, how could you do it?

I'm trying to figure out how we can potentially convert our Probotix Fireball CNC (its the 24x48" version) in to a laser cutter. All we need to do is cut acrylic, thats it. If there is a simple way to make our CNC machine into a laser cutter, how would you do it?

There are two ways to do it:
1) Fixed Tube. Mount the tube on a table (not moving). Used two 3x mirror to reflect light beam to a laser head. Just like a regular laser machine
2a) Tube mounted on gantry (vertical). No reflection mirror need. Tube installed vertically and focus by a lens (easlier but need strong enforement. Also, slow speed. Possible 15mm/s at most to avoid collapse)
2b) Tube mounted on gantry (horizontal). Need Need 3 mirrors and a laser head. (more complicated but can operate faster than example 2a)
