Hi

I received a DSP and power supply from you guys 07 Feb 2013.

Unfortunately this morning the laser has stopped firing (it will not even fire using the test button on the PSU)
The led is alight though...all correct volts are where they should be..any suggestions anyone??..sounds like the PSU is in trouble..How long is the guarantee on these ?

All power supply comes with 1-yr warranty
Check the fuse. You need to open the case and there is a small black box next to a coil. Open it with a screw driver and check the fuse

John,

This may sound silly, but have you checked the lens on the tube, the cooling jacket, and the first mirror?

Thanks guys yeah checked all those things (Had not checked the fuse until you mentioned it though Marco )..

Put a Kv meter on the output Zilch.......

Electronics is quite a strong point for me so I will dive in a bit deeper... from what I can tell it seems to work a bit like a TV fly back (or line output) transformer.

Hi

Delving deeper into the failed power supply I saw this

Not good........ :-( It might be just over 12 months since I bought it but maybe 300 only hours total in use !.

If you want to, you can send the board back to China for repair.

If you just take the PCb board out without the case and the transformer, the postage fee shouldn't cost you too much, right?
You can use the cheapest way to ship it. The return shipping cost runs about $30. I can use my "Mighty Power" to call for free repair service
