hello, so i have autocad now and would like to use it for some stuff, i have lasercad instaled also
so i got to the same set up exe file and instead of laser cad select autocad, but when i do i get the AutoCAD was not found error
please help me resolve this,
i would like to be able to cut DXF or DWG files, but currently is a huge issue for me since i have to parts that need to be cut by thursday, looking like im screwed

Can't help you with Autocad. I don't use it. But you are definitely not screwed.
In Autocad "save as" DXF (probably not the latest version)
In LaserCad, import DXF. Easy.
One more step maybe, but this part will not stop you getting your job done by Thursday.

oh wow, i have been up for fay to man hours, thank you so much, did not even notice the IMPORT drop down menu, DXF, is a go, cutting now, thank you so much
