Upgrade parts

Post by ccard »

Hi:

I want to upgrade my k40 laser machine. I want to start with these:

http://www.lightobject.com/1820mm-Laser ... -P701.aspx
What kind of hose do you recomend for this? and what kind of compressor? How much HP and PSI recomended?

http://www.lightobject.com/Power-table- ... -P722.aspx
I´m think adding an arduino and motor shield to control this.

http://www.lightobject.com/Pro-20mm-ref ... -P589.aspx
Is this compatible with a K40?

Is this compatible with a K40? I think it´s higer than the actual mount....

Thanks for any information you could give me.....

The laser head has changed to small host. You may use 5x8mm tubing to connect it

The table can be controlled by a stepping controller and the 2M415 driver (need both)
http://www.lightobject.com/Stepping-mot ... -P729.aspx

The Pro type laser head and mount are not compatible to the K40. It is too big to use

please elaborate on what the motor controller does, for rookie like me, because i dont understand, how come the other motors (exp. X and Y axis, dont need it)? are you using that controller instead of some limit switches or whats the deal?

The motor controller is used to control the movement of the motor. You don't need it if you have the DSP controller as the DSP can do it more (X,Y,Z, power...etc) without the that motor controller (1 axis movement controlling). You need it only if you don't want to use the DSP or you don't have the DSP but simply wanting to control the up/dn or L/R movement. That's all it about
