Hi Marco,
I'm trying to enable the safety where the laser won't fire if the lid is open, this is what I've done:
open Options -> Manufacturer Parameters
click Read
check the box for Open protect
click Save
But the laser will keep firing if I open the lid. I traced the cable and as far as I can tell it is plugged into 9.IN, in and gnd, which is correct. Any advice for troubleshooting?

Any thoughts on this Marco? We operate the lasercutter in a public space, this is a crucial feature for us

So sorry not being able to reply you ealier. Did you try the contact between the Gnd and the Protect from the DSP. Once you enabled the Open cover protection by usiny Lasewcad to configure it, you need to save the new setting then hit Reset Button to apply it
On the DSP mainboard, there is a terminal "In1", and it should have a label name protection. By shorting the terminal with ground, it should trigger the DSP safty mode and disabled the laser
Im currenly out of my office and I don't have the DSP with me. I will double confim it later once I got a hole with my tech guy in China
