Printerdriver for AWC 608

Post by Redgee »

Hi Marco.

The last time i had to lasermark a lot of serial number plates for industrial compressors.

i´ve read in this forum, that a printer driver would be programmed for the laser controller.

are there any news about, I haven't read about?

Or is there a workaround in Corel Draw (4) to do this more comfortable.
of corse there is a feature called serial letter, but when i create a CSV.File with the various items, corel makes for every row a new sheet, that´s not what i want!
i want to export a file with 20 Numberplates with different serials on one sheet...

perhaps anyone in this forum could explain me how i could do this...

thanks...

I think we have all heard about the mythical printer driver. Right now, its vaporware. I doubt we will see it soon if ever.

The Lasercad doesn't support Serial number. Only a label marking machine can handle serial number or bar code generator. It is another kind od controller card that works on Yag or fiber optic machine. I will carry pats for DIY laser diode machine and the fiber optics

The programmer is still working on 5he Print Driver. I will get more info from him soon.

Sadly to say that the programmer has dropped the project. Don't know why but I guess he was just too busy to do it. Not sure if he come up the printer driver for the new DSP with touchscreen prepare to launch on this June or around

Well, thats a huge disappointment. I'm starting to think that the software behind the dsp is way too much for one person to handle.

The print driver would have given you a huge advantage against your competition.

I totally agreed with you. I reminded him to split some work for other but he refused. But now he hired a guy to help him though. In China, sources code is everything. You got the sources code, you got the weapons. One may quite and start a new company and become competitors to each other. That always happen in China.
