Help. Y stopped working

The Y channel stopped working after I removed the gantry to replace a bearing and tighten the belts. On reset the x behaves properly. The Y is frozen where ever I put it. I know there is current to the y motor because it locks the laser head in position. I've checked the various connections ad all seem to be working. Any ideas about what could cause the head to freeze on the horizontal bar?

check if you can move the Y with the arrows from the display. if not switch for testing the X and the Y driver. check what happen if you press reset what goes to the home position, if not check the endswitches.
