scan gap settings does not change engraving

Hi all
now I am in trouble amybe someone can help out.
after installing the OS upgrade the machine (K40) what we convert to AWC608 now if we engrave something
what did come out perfect before the upgrade comes out with like with a scan gap of very low settings empty lines
we have try scan gap settings all the way up yo 0.02 what usually is for 1000 dpi, but the empty lines still there just a bit smaller. we have also set the stepper driver to a lower setting assuming that maybe the driver misses steps but doent change the outcome ether.
I am on the end with my knowledge. does someone had this or know a solution.
