help getting xyz tech 40w laser going with DSP controller

Post by beeprinter »

Need help with hooking DSP controller. Have pictures attached. We think we know some of the wiring but not all and want to be sure. We know the Green wire goes to ground 1.POW GND on DSP Yellow1.POW 1+24V dc to power the awc608.

The Blue wire coming from the 24volt dc card is 5volt dc and maybe is not used? On the stepper card the blue wire and grey wire are wired together into the old stepper card. We think the grey goes to laser power on laser card and purple to Ground on laser card what is weird is the grey wire that is connected to the blue +5v wire is going to +24v on the laser card. Also when I use a multi meter on the purple which is connected to ground, I acutally read 5v from purple to dc ground. If i test it to dc hot the purple reads 18v.

There are three wires labels w,r,and w that go from the laser card to the potentiometer they are red yellow and orange whould those be connected to the pwm and ttl on the awc608? or left alone. Also there are green and blue wires that goto the test button that connect to k and k on the laser card..

Any help will be greatly appreciated if pic's dont load goto here or right click dead img and goto copy link and paste in browser please.. Thanks!!
