Problems with stepper motors "jerking"

Running the AWC 608 controller in a custom-setup. I am experiencing stopping and starting of both X and Y axis when the machine returns to origin.

This error only seems to be present when the machine returns to origin (for instance after homing when powering on) and does not happen when the machine is cutting, or moving X and Y axis individually.

I have tried changing the acceleration speeds and min/max speed for both X and Y, the problem still however remains, it is just slowed.

Any help would be really appreciated!
