This is an issue I've never solved (Currently my workaround is to resize all of my jobs at 1.625:1). I have most everything working so I'm ready to dive back and fix the "little" things.
When I first received the LO DSP, I thought that the units were centimeters so I set X_Axis Pulse Unit: 2.23 and Y_Axis Pulse Unit: 3.0,
I was able to find good values for max_acc and max_speed, but realized my scale was off (was mm, not cm) when I tried using the PPI mode.
When I set the Pulse Units to X: 22.3 and Y: 30.0, and scaled the max speed, etc... But things went horribly wrong...
Either one axis would shoot off at really fast speeds or one axis would be ludicrously slow.
I even tried extreme values (big and small) for max speed, max accel, start speed, etc and nothing helped.
Since 25.4 was close to both, I set them both to 25.4 and things were sane again. But if I make X & Y not match even a little, it does bad things again.
Any suggestions?
I converted the system to the LO DSP from Mach, and under mach I was using the table with 1600 mm/sec in X and 800 mm/sec in Y with fast accelerations in both.
The tests I'm running on LO is 800 mm/sec in both axises.
Bizarre speeds/accel if pulse units differ for X & Y?

[Solved]
The latest firmware fixed this issue for me. I'm a happy camper right now.
