I'd like this to be improved too!, seems a lot of my clients are using Illustrator and converting files from Illustrator to DXF is pretty troublesome, hope you find a way to make it work soon.

Cheers

The programmer has gaven up the driver for AI. The sources of AI seems not opened for public and he said that it's almost mission impossible. So, he is taking an alternative way: Print Driver. He is hoping that he could get it done in about 2 months. Let's double finger it.

I've had this problem with illustrator files, the best thing to do is save your ai file, then open it up in Corel draw. Save the file as a Corel file and use the macro, it just seems to work better.
