user manual/software and general question

Post by rodt »

hello, I just received my AW-608 controller a couple of days ago and have a couple of questions:

1. Shouldn't it have come with a manual (instructions) and software? Mine didn't.

2. Does this board directly control the stepper motors and limit switches or do I need a seperate motor controller?

I really would appreciate any help that I can get as I've had my cheap 40 watt machine from (AIP-All Image Printing), for over a year and haven't
been able to do anything with it. I also live in a small farming community so there is no one here that can assist my in getting the AW-608 wired and
working.

Rodt:

I already explained the reason of #1 and #2 to you yesterday by the phone.
Again,

#1. Formal manual for AWC-608 isn't ready but manual for old card could be used instead. The missing materiails could be found on the forum. A latest manual will be launched soon. Software available from the download area.

#2. You have to get two 1-axis stepping motor controller to drive stepping motor.
Remember that I told you, there're 3 things needed: DSP + Driver + motor

As I told you, you better to have proximity limit switches (toggle On/Off) instead of using the built-in opto-sensor on that machine. It's not easy to work out that way as you need to trace out the wire and different setting on System configuration required.

Hello! I purchased one of this machines from china a few months ago and replaced the control board to a DSP and so far I'm having fun with it learning it, however, I would like to start doing some serious jobs to start making paying itself. I'm like you, wishing there was somebody close in the area doing the same and work together to help each other in the process. Where are you from? if you don't mind answering my question. I'm from Texas and I would love to know if there is someone else near me to share ideas.
