Origin or Home issue? See this video

Post by Tech_Marco »

Some folks said that their machine couldn't find home properly or the returned Orign wasn't at the exact location it should after hitting Reset. I been testing it for at least 30 cards and I found nothing wrong with the Home/Origin. Check the videos I posted.

1) Cut 3 times with the same speed/power on each cut. Reset button was press on each cut.

2) Changed the Origin location and made 2 cuts. Same thing as above, hit Reset per cut.

See picture for the first Origin and the 2nd Orign. They're in exact location without any lose in step. Seeing to belive it.

Hi Marco,

Thanks for pointing out this. I had that problem before but found where the problem was and I almost bet one of these things may apply to someone else experiences.

1- the ground in the laser case was not attached properly and was causing feedback to either the dsp card or the stepping drivers.

2 - one of my wires was getting caught on my gantry and causing the motor to miss steps

3- also if the speed to home position is set too high, it will cause the motor to miss steps even when the cutting or engraving is done on low speed

It could be some other factors involved for origin or home issue but I haven't found any related to the dsp board and or software for this matter. It is being good for me since I fixed those problems. :)

I think I should start a new post to mention the important of the Ground. It's just too important to ignore.
Thanks wctx1977 to bring it up
