I have did the um calculator many times with no result. Does this motor require a different configuration with the switches on the step driver?

No special setup required. Either use "8" or "16" on the motor driver
If you did calculate it properly, I can't tell what else what it could be.
Did you save it and hit "RESET" on the LCD panel to home the machine before trying the test again??
Or, did you reverse X,Y by mistake?
Draw a 100mm x 100mm and use it for the calculation

That is the result I showed you the screen shots of all that.
I have set the UM value many times
I have hit the restart and have restarted both the computer and the machine .
I am going to put the old motor back in since it was not bad and all I needed was a new driver and see what happens.
It is acting like it does not recognize that i have set the um value at all. It keeps drawing the same line.
I just checked to make sure I did not have the x and y backwards and that is good.

How strange!
Are you sure that the connection between the DSP and your PC is connected??
When you click XY movement key on Lasercad, will it trigger the machone to react at all?

yeah they are connected because if i cut the line to 50 on the screen it will draw one that is 100
