DSP Controller Stuck at "Waiting"
This morning I was running a job in the laser (which has been stable and running with the DSP controller for more than a year now), when the power was interrupted. Usually the controller comes up with a "Power Cut, Continue?" message after a power outage, but all I get now is the "Waiting..." screen. Any recommendations as to how to fix this?

Re: DSP Controller Stuck at "Waiting"
When I wired mine up for the first time it took 3 full minutes to get past the 'waiting' message. At least yours was in English. As soon as I wired up the x and y axis the y took off on power up until it hit the right wall and I had to shut it down. Once the limit switches were connected the 'waiting' message only lasted a couple seconds. I suspect the 608 box is waiting for another device to communicate with it and will do so until the 3 minute time out is reached. That's my best guess, but you might put a timer on and wait the full 3 minutes and see what happens. Some other device that's connected to it might need to be replaced.

Re: DSP Controller Stuck at "Waiting"
When system is showing "Waiting..." it is waiting for the gantry to get home. If you don't have limit switches installed or having a bad limit switch, you can hit STOP to terminate the homing routine. Or, you can simulate the home by pushing the limit switch 3 times, X Y X or X Y Y or X X Y... and it should show you the normal screen afterward.
To Craig_Johnson, if the LCD is showing "Chinese", you can use the menu to scroll down to the second from the bottom one to change language to English

Re: DSP Controller Stuck at "Waiting"
Thanks for the help, everyone. This was a previously working system (as in, I had just been using it a few hours before the problem started), and we tried to manually reset via the limit switches since the control pad was completely unresponsive. Eventually we just called tech support, and after a little back and forth they determined that our controller had simply bricked itself. I still need to send the bad one out for repair, but we ordered a new one and dropped it straight in with no other changes to the system setup, and we were off and cutting again with no issues.
