LaserCAD trouble downloading drawing

I got LaserCAD all set up on my PC and have been using it without issue. Today we tried setting it up on another PC. Everything works but we can not get it to download the drawing to the laser. My PC still works like it did. The second PC can connect, read the settings, move the laser X,Y,Z. View the uploaded files, delete files... BUT when trying to download files to the laser everything appears to work but there is no beep at the laser and the file does not show up. No error messages.

Tried turning laserCAD off on the first PC in case of a conflict and tried rebooting 2nd PC. No difference.

Any suggestions?

Did you have trouble to detect the COM port when hooking it up to the 2nd PC?
Try format the memory on the mainboard. May be some file jammed it up.
You can use the LCD control panel to format the main memory

I have similar issues. I have two computers that can talk to the laser, control the laser, upload and download settings but they can't upload files by network. My laptop, the second PC only started getting upload issues after an upgrade to Windows 8.1 I noticed. I have changed firewall settings, network settings and formatted the memory on the controller but can't get uploads to work. I can upload via serial with no problems at all though.

Ive had problems uploading via ethernet as well, but I am using win7. I press upload and then after about 10-15 seconds, lasercad complains it cannot communicate with the laser. I press upload again and then it works. The error is random but usually works after the second time I press upload.

Ad me to the list of people who are having issues downloading. I can control the laser, clear the memory all from the PC, but when I try to download files from the PC, the window shows downloading but closes without the beep. if I use the USB port I can load the files just fine, but it is a pain, especially after getting used to the ease of downloading from the PC.

Just for reference - I am running the 7.13.09.12 main board and 5.12.02.29 LCD version of the firmware and version 6.88 of LaserCAD and windows 8.1.

I have not made any changes to my PC or my laser set up.

Is there a DSP or LaserCAD update that I could try to correct the problem?

UPDATE: I got the latest version of DSP OS and version of LaserCAD, but still having the same issue. I did find one interesting twist. If I save the .ud5 file to my PC and then use the "Download UFile" button to download the saved version the transfer to the DSP works with the beep at the end of the transfer.

Does anyone else see this?

I can confirm that this is the case for me. If I use the download UFile it will work for me. The issue seems to only show up on my Windows 8.1 machines.
