Controller does not change laser power

Post by zkmiller »

This is really puzzling me. No matter what I set the power settings for the image I am cutting/engraving the controller stays the same. It reads Power 1: 50% | 40%. And the speed is 200 mm/s even though I have set it to 300 mm/s in the file. Is there a setting on the controller that might override the file settings?

Main Board: 7.14.02.20
LCD Board: 5.12.02.29

Reset from LCD. After you make changes in software save file and download file to LCD via download. Reset from LCD again. File should indicate recent power settings. Your MAX power is set in system options. System override toggle would likely be LCD control v. Software control found on LCD MENU.

Thanks for the reply...I'll try your suggestion tomorrow when I get home. I do have LCD control selected on the LCD panel so that may be my problem.

LCD control/Software control on LCD MENU was the problem. I had it set to LCD control. Set it to Software control and things seem to be working like they should.

Now to try and master CorelDraw/LaserCAD. If there are any good tutorials on LaserCAD out there I would appreciate a pointer in that direction.

Thanks again for the help.
