Warning: A thief from UK!
There is a guy name "Mia chapman" from UK who purchased a DSP kit from us not long ago. After receiving, he complained that we didn't send him the LCD front panel or USB cable. Then, he filed a complain to Paypal and asking for $220 refund! He put duty tax and shipping cost to the claim amount that wanted us to be responsible for the charge! We showed him that the weight of shipment matched 99.95% to a simulate package we ran in house. We even showed him the true shipping cost charged by USPS but this guy told Paypal that we filled up the box "full" of cardboard to make up the weight. Once he said so, we know that this guy is a thief! Shame on him, the UK thief.
We're planing to video tape all our shipment to proof all shipment we sent to prevent this from happening again

Re: Warning: A thief from UK!
It is just a rare 'incident" and I have good faith to all my customers!
So far this is the most 'serious' case as he claimed that we put hard cardboard to fill up the space to make up the weight. In most case if a customer complained we missed ship item, I first blamed on my staff for careless work before doing further inspection. But on this case, it clearly showing that this guy is looking for trouble and greedy. We learned a lot by doing online business. Counting weight per item on a combined order is what we learned from previous experience. In most case, the buyer won't go futher once we proof the evidence. It happended the most on Amazon sales I guess Amazon is too easy for the customer to get money back from complain. But we know that we have to stand strong if we haven't committed the mistake. We will fight for it till the final decision made by the Amazon or by Paypal. "A man got to do what a man got to do"
My services to you folks will never change, only getting better.
Regards,
Marco

PayPal is unfortunately always on the side of the consumer. Maybe you could make it a requirement that if a customer wants to use PayPal they must be a member on your forum and have an xx post count and or a be a member for xx days. This would most likely prevent the scamers from striking again.

Marco, it is good idea to attach bill of materials with your shipments and every item is ticked ,inspected and signed by the packaging guy , so this way you wont blame your guys anymore and at least have an evidence. but if paypal will not credence on that then this is other story

Re: Warning: A thief from UK!
Doesn't matter if a BOM included. When they (bad guys) are filing a dispute, Paypal has to initiate a case and allowing us to defense. Well, for thise case we haven't lost yet as I already sent all information and package simulation images to proof the shipment. Unless Paypal is "blind", otherwise I don't see the reason how could Paypal should grand the case to that guy.
We have been doing business in almost 10yrs and we never cheated on our customers. If we missed item any in the package, we will take the blame and re-send in a timely manner. We can tell who is playing foul who's not. If there was any doubt, we let go and resend rather than argue. We challenge a case only if we're 100% sure that there was no mistake on our side or if a customer really cross a line. We're all human and human make mistake. But this guy is really making nonsense and lying about about packing. And he is asking for $220 for a LCD panel?! If a customer need a replacement, we sell the package for $95 at most. Even the handheld portable unit cost $125. So... he is really greedy, isn't he?
Thank you for you guys advise

Hope PayPal doesn't favor him and he can be buried.
