LCD display swiches from regular to waiting

Post by waltfl »

Hi all
maybe someone or marco can help me out.
I had my machine converted K40 out for a few days and now if I turn it on the display switches back and forth from regular file detail to " waiting" and back.
I try pretty much everything's , unplug the display from the DSP, reset, reload the manufacturer settings , but nothing fix this.
is there a solution?
thanks and greetings

Walt, can you, by any chance, refresh the OS to either lower version or higher version? Or, it always showing "Waiting..." regardless any button press like the "Stop", "Reset", or hitting limit switches?

If nothing help, then the board is pretty much "Bricked" and need to send it back to China for reload. It happened to another customer and I need to get back to him also.

FYI, the problem is usually caused when upgrading the OS and either you press "STOP" or somehow power got interrupped that corrupted the internal OS.

If the DSP is bricked, there is nothing I can do. It must be shipped to China to reload a new OS to the DSP card. It seems that the intenal system all got wipe out. I can loan you a card by taking a unit from my demo unit if you promise to return it to me when you received your card back.

FYI, it will cost you about $38 to ship your card to China, and about $45 DHL shipping fee to return it from China. There is possible $30 labor charge if the card still good. But, if the DSP chipset is dead, it will cost you more.

hi marco
a little update . I upgraded the OS and it stopped switching but the pause and stop function does not work what is strange that the same button on the display is for start and this works, I can stop from lasercad but not from the display button .all other buttons work
I will upgrade to the next higher version and see what's happen there.
