odd circle engraving issue

Hello,
I think this is a bug in lasercad.

In this project I am working on, sometimes one of the circles comes out oblong.
Not always, however, so I am at a loss. This will cause the material I am using to be wasted if it happens on a production run so I am quite concerned about it.


on the left the circle is perfect and on the right it is exhibiting the problem.
The circle was drawn in coreldraw and sent to lasercad via the macro.
I also tried deleting the circle in lasercad and recreating it there. Same result. Occasionally it is misshapen.
Clearly this is not a problem with my machine mechanics because the circle within the circle is NOT misshapen. If it were losing steps (actually I think this would be caused by *gaining* steps) then all the shapes would be elongated in a similar way which they are not.
The circle is a vector which I told lasercad to "engrave" rather than "cut"
I will try making it a bitmap image to see if that resolves the issue.

in order to just engrave the circle portion, I un-check the all of the other colors in lasercad and "download" again the file to the machine. This has resulted in the same behavior on the one occasion that I tried it.

sure. I will upload the coreldraw file, the pwj5 file that the lasercad saves, as well as a dxf version. The dxf version I added .zip to the end of in order for the forum to allow it to be uploaded. Perhaps you could change the forum setting to allow the standard .dxf file format.

I was intending to use the dsp to actually produce some of these but now am worried about wasting materials with defective laser engraving which seems to be caused by some defect in the dsp or the lasercad software.

Please advise.

delete all files in the DSP memory
format the memory in the dsp
then load the file new
the memory in the DSP is only 64MB and sometimes there is something left there what interfere with the new file

I try this today and no problem with the software or machine
but you need to send the original file what you show at the picture with the elongated circle.
