a Forum is a great idea

Post by Alphawolf45 »

Today my 612 controlling the temp of my heat treat oven died.. I got one of my 2 spare 612s and swapped it into the furnace... I would humbly suggest that the instructions should show what the letter "K" will look like on that seven segment display.. I am not certain I have it set correct for a type K thermocouple.I go thru that same difficulty every time I have setup one of these ..
.
.
I've directed several guys on couple forums to the temperature controllers from Lightobject.. I've bought 5 of the 612s so far and will order couple more I am sure.. I bought the first one BECAUSE the instructions were available online where I was able to see what I was getting before wasting time and money.Pretty good instructions overall.
.
Some years ago I bought a controller from a different ebay seller and the damned thing had instructions written by some asian retard who apparently flunked english classes, I could not begin to setup that controller by those instructions..Comical.Pathetic.Waste of money.

Thank you for your advise. That "K" is hard to read on the manual, I totally agreed with you. It's because that the display is a standard 7 segments LED display other than a dot matric display. So, showing "K" is impossible and the programmer was creative enough to create it's own "K" somehow.

FYI, I'll add that symbol "K" to the manual and will post it again.

Have a great July 4 Holiday

I believe the "K" looks like a backwards calculator 4, Is this correct?

Just posted a modified manual for the JLD612 PID temperature manual. I requesed a special font created by the manufacturer so that I can added that font to the manual. Now the "K" on the manual will look 100% same to the controller.

For the 7100, I got to find the original doc in order to edit it. Or if anyone can tell me how to convert pdf back to MS Words for editing, if possible??
