LaserCad freeze when downloading to DSP

On v6.71 software would freeze and lock up computer. Upgraded to LaserCAD 6.88 and upgrade DSP as well. Still freezes at download to DSP.

When Downloading files to DSP, LaserCAD will freeze and I have no way of getting it to shutdown. Only to exit the software is to restart the computer.

Granted, I'm using an older XP machine, machine only has Windows, ACAD14, LaserCAD, Corel x6 and GIMP.

Any ideas to help eliminate this?

You need to establish a communication between the DSP controller and your PC. Just use the "Find Com" on the right top conrner of the LaserCad and let your PC to find a USB port for the DSP and it will take care it. Usually the problem is caused by lose connection, bad USB cable, or USB conflicting. Next time, you just need to unplug the USB cable and it will allow you to exit from the 'freeze' screen
