Hey, anyone got any tips on how to upgrade the os? I've been searching the forum all day as I seem to recall a post about going through the various upgrades until you hit the newest one but I can't for the life of me find it. I've got the latest updates, thanks to Marco, if it helps my main board is 7.12.04.01 and my lcd is 5.12.02.29.
thanks in advance,
Tim

Re: upgrading the o.s.
Really Simple
1. Format a USB stick to fat32
2. Copy the *.UG5 files to the root of the drive.
3. From the control panel go menu>udisk files>upgrade files
4. Choose the version correct for your hardware. If you choose the wrong one it will just say error. So you can guess.
5. Upgrade
6. Check to make sure it upgraded go to menu>system version.
7. Be aware that the version numbers are backwards so file 130622v7.uga will read on the lcd as 7.13.6.22
8. Restart
9. Grab a drink

Re: upgrading the o.s.
I cannot get the OS upgraded. I have never upgraded anything since I put this in service. Here's what I have.
AWC 608
Main Board 7.12.12.26
LCD 5.12.02.29
Upgrade files I have:
121226V6.UG5
121226V7.UG5
121226V8.UG5
130922V7.UG5
Each of these upgrades is shown on the LCD, but each one says UpGrade Failed!
Could someone help me?

Make sure you format the memory stick to FAT32 format. Otherwise the DSP won't be able to read the date even though it can show the content in the memory stick
Plus, you don't need to upgrade all OS but chose the latest one: 130922V7.UG5

The FAT32 was the problem. All upgraded now. Thanks a lot Marco.

Use LCD control unit. Press Menu and scroll down to the last one and you will see it.
There are 3 different hardware model: V6,V7, and V8. V6, and V8 will be eliminated out but will keep V7 to avoid confuse for future upgrade
