Hi guys,
I'm connecting all the wires now and started to test how step motor drivers work. Testing the x motor driver I get motion (the x axis is moving to home position) but doesn't stop when hitting the limit switch. Already tried with the limit switch from upgrade kit and the original one (which I know it worked). Any idea why it's not working?
The wiring seems fine considering the diagram from Marco. Maybe if you can tell me what should happened on the pins when hitting limit switch I can do some testing.
thx,
Liviu

Re: Limit switch don't stop the motor
Make sure you're using "N.O." normally open limit switch. It means that if it is not triggered, it is open circuit. If the gantry touch it, it close the contact. Plus, make sure to connect to the DSP "Ground & X- or Y-".
You may want to do continuity test before power it up
