Is it possible to raster engrave lines?

Post by aram »

As the title says, I'm wondering if it's possible to raster engrave lines with the DSP controller. We use our laser to build scale models, and it would be much more desirable to be able to raster certain lines rather than use low power high speed cutting. As far as I can tell, raster works as though there is a fill in any closed curve of that color, and engraves the blank space in the enclosed area. Lasercad does not seem to recognize fills at all, or line widths, so the use of fills or line widths is not a viable way to indicate engraved areas. So is there any way to tell the program to raster engrave lines instead of engraving the blank space between them?

hi aram
yes you can if you convert the lines which should be engraved to bitmap, or if you select cut after engraving butyou need to select the lines for engraving and make them a extra layer.

Ok, I'll try that. Thank you.
