DSP will not reset or go to 0,0 when turning on

Post by artwood_decor »

Edit:
After restarting a few more times I noticed the settings in LaserCad "go to 0,0 after restart" was unchecked.
It worked normally after checking that back and saving the modifications.
It is my second day since I first started the machine... Still learning...

I have finalized the wiring last night and the DSP acted normally.
I have engraved a few graphics and calibrated the steps so what I measured was what I expected.
Today, when turned on, the DSP didn't go to 0,0 as usual.
When i press reset, nothing happens.
I have noticed the laser LED on the laser PS was off.
Turned off everything and unplugged the Laser1 connector from DSP.
When turned on the laser was alive.
It still doesn't reset...
Turned off and plugged Laser1 connector back.
Turned on and laser LDE off.
Axis work from control pannel.

Please tell me where to look?
What am I missing?

Check the power to the motor driver. When you power up and if nothing is moving, then try to move the X or Y axis by hands see if it's freely moving or locked up. If it let you run smoothly, then it means that the stepping motor driver(s) is either defective or no power. Check the DC power supply to the stepping motor driver. Do it first before we move to another step

I could move the axis from LCD control panel.
The axis were frozen.
Have no idea what happened, but after changing the settings, saving them and restart it worked. (didn't work before that restart after changing and saving the settings)

It works now.

Thanks Marco.
