Using Flash drive "Udisk" procedure

Post by SScnc »

What is the proper procedure for using a flash drive stick (USB Stick) for transferring projects to the AWC-608 ?

I ask because I can't get it to work. In LaserCAD I click "download" then "Save document to Ufile".

I make sure it's actually on my USB Stick, plug it into my DSP 2012, the USB stick LED blinks, I do Menu, Ufile, work files, I see the correct file and press enter on the DSP and the screen shows "copy files..."

But at that point the DSP freezes and nothing at all will work unless I press reset.

Need some advice please

Hi there
did you format the stick with FAT32 before use, the system only supports FAT32??? I have this sometimes too then a press reset and do it again then mostlt it works but you have to be patient especially with biger files its very slow thats why I use a old laptop just for this I load from the stick in the laptop what is fast then just do the regular download to the laser.

That's exactly what it was, thanks Walt, I appreciate the help. I did find info on that last night after posting but previous searches didn't bring it up.

It works perfectly now !

On another topic, I bought my DSP 2012 from Marco about 14 months ago I guess, can this one be upgraded to use PPI ?
