Dc-Dc isolated power module (6pin) connection
This is the latest Dc/Dc isolated power module (1205 or 1212) with 6pin. It's 2Watt and 9V~18V input. Both 5V and12V modules are sharing the same connection

OK, I'm no rocket scientist...
Since the on-line schematic doesn't show it, and this pin-out is vague, please expalin exactly where each of those pins go to power the 4-1/2 inch digital amp meter.
Also, what exactly will happen during under volts?

Do I understand this correctly that the Vin and +Vout share a common ground?

Marco, I also have the same question. A simple schematic drawing would be most helpful here. I'm not sure how it should be hooked up. I could guess but I don't want to blow it up. Apparently you sent two of them. I'm not sure why. It seems one should do the trick. It seems like this module goes with the blue meter and that it somehow is an interface between the low voltage end of the Laser Power line and the laser itself. But It's difficult to figure out how it needs to be inserted without a little more information.

1,2 for input
6,7 for output
No common ground. Otherwise, there is no reason to buy an isolated power module. An amp meter need separte ground.

This thing baffles me....
Hooked up exactly as photos, all I get are 00.0 on blue meter.

This is an "isolated" power module for the meter. If you could get "00.0", it is 100% normal. What did you expect if not "00.0"? Remember that if you have no current going through, it show "00.0". It show you reading ONLY if you connect it to a load in seriesJAV-1 wrote:This thing baffles me....

When the laser fires, all I get is 00.0, must be a design flaw. I didn't get a shunt with my DSP package, had to do the crazy forum search to find out which one I needed.
I've got a fix that eliminates the shunt/isolated power supply...no worries.

For the 100mA meter or 200mA, the shunt already built-in. What you need to do is to connect the Green/Blue wire in series with the laser tube to the power supply. If it read "00.0" but you got light beam, then just reversed the Green/Blue wire as the 3 digit meter doesn't support auto polarity

Thank you for taking the time to do this. Too many others were suggesting so many ways to connect, I wasted time/money on a shunt.
That's where my frustration and confusion came from.
