Just wanted to introduce myself to the group. Due to the knowledge shared in this forum, I was able to successfully convert my K40 to the older 2011 DSP and burned my first piece late last night. I do have a question regarding PHCad and LaserCad. The forums mentioned that LaserCad PHCad are the same thing. However, LaserCad cannot find the DSP via USB. So far, only PHCad can 'find' and use the DSP. Is there a trick that I should be aware of or is it just the facts of life?
I'm using PHCad 4.47 against LaserCAD V5.95.
Thanks so much !
David

David:
LaseCad is a newer software and is not supporting 2011 or older card. It only works on AWC-608 model. That's why it didn't find the USB port.

Ah! I KNEW I should have bought the newer model! Oh well... That's okay - having a blast with this one.
Thanks again for your quick replies Marco.
