PWM waveform output vs. power % and speed

Post by Tech_Marco »

A customer keep complaining that the output current and speed from the DSP card wont change if read from a memory stick. So, I used my scope to catch output from sample files. It's a little hurry so I'm not going to explain it in detail, may be 3~4 days later when I come back from a camp.

Power
a) 3%
b) 10%
c) 25%
d) 50%

How I did the test?
I created a simple file with different the power/speed. I named it Test1,2,3,4 and save it to the Mainboard. Then, I copied all four files to a memory stick. Format the main board and read files from the momory stick on by one. Then, I have a test probe attached to the PWM vs Ground. From the scope waveform, you can see that the period of the pulse didn't change. The only change was the pulse width, the longer pulse with higher power %. When power setting set to 50%, it output a Square pulse 50/50.
