Need basic woring help for stepper motors for the TB6560

Post by pluto26 »

I need some very basic help.

i built 3 axis CNC router and need to start doing the wiring.

the stepper motors I have, have 6 wires can some one tell me how to wire the stepper motor to the controller boar.
A
A-
B
B-
Common
Common

the controller connection for each axis has A A- B B- listed on them. is it s simple one-to-one, where would all the grounds go.

if this is true I would have find 6 wire cable to run it from the motor all the way to the controller?

I see a lot of discussion about combining the A A- together and running that to the controller. that is what got me confused.

any help wold be appreciated .
thanks

hi this might help you the tb6560 the motor connectins on the card are. ap = + / am = - / bp = + bm = - / the stepper motor has 6 wires you need to find the start and finish of the winding, you will end up with 2 spare cables tap the two wires seprate and leve them its the other 4 you need, i hope this helps you, by the way the 4 wire connection has more tourqe than a 6 wire for your router arthur.
