Hi marco
I am wondering wher I can find a real setup guide and manual for the new DSP 2012.
I use the one especially for the limit switches but it does not work and for the new DSp there is nowhere to find a description how to set them in the software.
also I try to use coreldraw X 5 but it does not connect ether .
the next is if the system is powerd on the display shows " system resetting " and does not go away until the " enter botton is ppressed.
please help me out here.
greetings
walt

Your (home - 0,0) limits should be Normally Open (NO) switches with one side tied to ground and the other to the specific limit (-) pin on the DSP. Use a DVM to verify that the switch is working correctly and closing to ground when the switch is engaged. If the switch is functioning correctly and the board is not reading it, check that your settings (System Settings - Manufacturer Parameters) is correct - Limit Lever should be Low Level Effective.waltfl wrote:Hi marco

If you are talking about the + limits, then I suggest you not use them. You can set the table max size in Manufacturer Parameters and it will use software limits and they work very well.
As far as I know, X5 is not supported.

If you haven't setup the motor and/or the limit switch, the system will not "resetting" itself. The connection diagram I posted under the DSP software already shown how to connect a limit switch to the controller. There is no need to configure software. It's either level hight (5V) or level low(0V) trigger depends on the type of limit switch you use.
This card supoort software and hardware limit:
(assuming Home is top left)
a) 2 hardware (Home) + software X+ Y- limit
b) 2 hareware (Home) + hardware X+ Y- limit (Need to set "hardware limit" on software setting)

Re: what manual and setup for DSP 2012 and laser cut 5.2 ?
Hello Walt:
I'm leaving country to China on coming Monday and I'll stay there till 12/6. I'll try to work out a manual as soon as I can once I received the Chinese version manual. Also, I got a lot of suupport offer from other folks like Tim, Denzil, Bart... Thank you for their support.
The software looks pretty straght forward and shouldn't be too hard to use it. The connection for the DSP is quite simply as well. If you know a little electronic, it shouldn't be too hard to make it work. Tim, Rich, Bart.. they are all here can give you some help.
