Rotary engraving.
Hi all,
Got a problem with the rotary engraving, it works great on the rollers it is when I attach the chuck.
Put a few pictures for you to see what happens, no change to any settings but engraves as a mirror image.
Sure it is something simple, but can not work it out.

Simple enough, as you mentioned.. You hat to let the chucktype-rotary run in the other direction..
Best methode to do this is swap two wires from 1 coil only.. then it wil run in the other direction.
Your steppermotor has 4 (or 8) wires. This is two wires per coil. With a multimeter you can measure which wires belong together.
From only one set you swap that wires...

Thanks Kees, but that will mess up when engraving on the rollers won't it ?.

Oh, now I see: you placed the chuck on one of the rollers... mmmmm, logical that the image comes out mirrored... than the only option is to reflect the image vertical before you laser it with the chuck.
Or place a switch for roller and chuck use.. (one that swaps the two wires. NOT to be operated when the machine is on: you will blow your stepperdriver if you do...)

Thanks Kees, it is a strange one indeed will try inverting and see what happens.
It is strange as the controller display is showing that is correct, but as you see it is not.

It's not strange at all:
if the chuck rolls clockwise, a wheel (or bottle) pushed to that chuck will roll counterclockwise. Instead of the chuck you use the rubber wheels, so the thing that is pushed to that rubber wheel will rotate counterclockwise. No matter what you see on your display.
If you want your chuck to rotate in the same direction as the rubber wheels, you have to place the chuck ON the rubber wheels somehow..

I am not at my laser right now to check but I think that is the case.
Just have saved and load another set of parameters for when using the rotary in chuck style.
EDIT: Yeah I just checked. You can change it in "Manufacturers Parameters"

Motor at present is at the right hand side. When using chuck style, put the motor end at the left.
