RECI laser tube "S series" info update

Post by Tech_Marco »

RECI is back to the operation but the supplying is still limited. Manufacturers in China won't be expected to get orders without waiting for 3~4 weeks. Plus, it is only the 80W laser tube may work good. Other power tube like the 100W, 130W, 150W.... I won't take a bet on it. It is very unstable and you need to prepare an emergency plan if you decided to get one for your production. The reason is that, RECI is trying a new technology by boding metal to the glass direct without using any proxy glue like most tube manufacturer does. If it works out, that would be a break through technology and expecting better tube from Reci. The 80W seems OK now based the info from a sales tech that I talked to while I was in China. The tube like the 130W or 150W, he suggested not to buy it ... yet!

Update:

Reci is now supplying S2, the 80W CO2 laser tube with new method of bonding glass and metal
But, for anything beside 80W, it is getting a serious problem. The bigger the power, the bigger of the issue!

Do NOT buy 130W(S6) and 150W(S8) RECI tube for now!!! I worked closed with the sale Rep and even he told me NOT to get it because he personally dropped 80 out of 100 tubes recently! :o

FYI, I just cancelled an order for a 150W, order from a Korean company. Big lost to me :(
But, customer satisfaction is my main concerned. If something happen, it cost too much to ship to foreign country. In this case, the shipping cost I charged was $725.

In fact, so many manufactures are dropping Reci and use a few other tube manufacturer in China. I already order 10x 130W from a company and I'll try another one with good name on smaller tube but they're having good feedback for their 130W. Possible on next oceans shipment (probably in two months) and I'll order a few for testing
