Newbie X7 Problems

Post by T45lax »

Hi all,

I am new to the laser arena and just installed my X7 kit into my k40 and am having quite a few problems and appreciate any help. I read through the majority of the forum posts in the DSP section but I am still stuck. Ultimately I want to print some placards from autocad.

1. Whenever I try to print from LaserCad I get an error saying it is too large and then the laser head hits the walls when it starts. It homes in just fine but then retracts to start (engraving into the metal on my machine) and then goes to far and hits the outside walls. When I hit the start button on the computer it says "Beyond size! Contine?"

2. When I try to install the macro for autocad it simply says that autocad could not be found (I know there is a similar thread with this, but I couldn't find a solution that works). Also in the autocad macro option the installation interface says Corel draw 12 (before it says that autocad could not be found). Is this correct?

Any help is great! I'm really struggling to get this thing running. I can upload any pictures I need, I just don't know where to start.

Thanks!!!

For Q1, first download my FAQ to review. It is all about setting and Origin issue

The Plugin doesn't support all version AutoCAD. What you need is a DXF file and use the IMPORT from the LaserCad to open it.
The BEST format is Illustrator .Ai format for cutting.
